As communicated in my concluding message as the Chairman of the 27th AGM of BGHSAA to the honourable audience of the meeting, the process that had begun at the back of the AGM to re-discover our Voice of Unity has ultimately come fruitful.
Out of the two valid candidates for the post of President, the senior one has voluntarily quit the contest in favour of his junior. Similarly out of the twenty two candidates for ten posts of GB members, twelve have voluntarily withdrawn from the contest in favour of the remaining ten candidates.All the withdrawing candidates have duly communicated their voluntary desire to our Hon’ble Election Commissioner, Sri Tamal Chatterjee who has in turn agreed to their proposal and eventually declared the President and ten GB members as elected uncontested for the coming year. He has also congratulated our Association and wished a successful Centenay Celebration of our dear BGHS.
The communication received in this regard from the EC is also forwarded for your happy information. .
